Pet C.A.R.E. event planned

Carson City Animal services will host a C.A.R.E., Carson Animal Rescue Event, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

The event is an open house to see the newly renovated shelter at 3770 Butti Way, Carson City.

Local pet organizations will be on hand, plus there will be kids activities, live music and refreshments. And it's also a chance to meet dogs and cats waiting for a new home.
