Obituary: Rebecca Gibson Foote

On October 10th, after 98 years, Rebecca Gibson Foote left this world to join the Lord, her family, and the love of her life, Raymond.

Becky was born in San Francisco but grew up on her family's farm in Williams, California.

She graduated from Mills College with a degree in Biology and a minor in music. Becky was a teacher in Etna and Mountain View, before becoming a homemaker. She was a long-time Soroptimist, loved listening to her husband's concerts, and enjoyed participating in community events. Becky had many hobbies that included sewing, cooking, and gardening.

It was at a concert in Oakland that Becky met her future husband, and soul mate, Raymond. After the concert, he invited her for a milk shake, and the rest is history. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage filled with love, music, traveling, and lots of storytelling. Together they traveled to 23 countries.

Rebecca leaves behind her nephew Gion Gibson and his family from Washington State.

We are grateful to Susan, Dana, and Debbie for being with Becky in her final days. We will miss her beautiful smile and zest for life.
