James Jeffrey (“JJ”) Jackson

James Jeffrey (“J.J.”) Jackson died Feb. 28, 2014. JJ was born Oct. 31, 1958 in Tulsa, OK., the son of Gene and Carolyn Jeffreys Jackson. JJ began practicing law in 1987. His practice areas included the PD and DA’s offices in TX and NV. He was named the Juvenile Master and Associate Municipal Court Judge for Carson City. He also served as the Nevada Chief Public Defender. JJ was president of the firm Thorndal Armstrong Delk Balkenbush & Eisinger. JJ is also well known for his lobbying practice at the Nevada Legislature. JJ enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, vacationing at the beach, and spending time with his family, son and his many friends. JJ is survived by his son, Jeff-of whom he was extremely proud and his sister, Mary. He held a special place in his heart for his son’s mother, Jennifer, his daughter-in-law-to-be Monica, and his fiancé, Sarah, as well as a large extended family, and an ever larger group of friends. The service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CandleLighters at CandleLightersNV.org.
