Drainage work on Foothill Road and Genoa Lane is expected to wrap up on Friday as roadwork season continues.

The vac truck has been slurping out culverts along the route for the last few weeks, reducing the road to one lane with flaggers.

Similar work has been underway on Highway 395 in the Pine Nuts south of Gardnerville.

On Tuesday, the Nevada Department of Transportation said workers will head over Kingsbury to clear vegetation from their utility structures at Juniper Drive 7:45-8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

While there’s a 30-minute delay, that’s all the state says it needs to get the work done.

Carson Valley hasn’t come close to the brunt of roadwork anticipated this year.

It will be August at the earliest before repaving of Highway 395 begins between First Street and Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville.

That work could still be delayed until next year.

There’s also the prospect that work will begin to fill in the blank portions of Muller Lane Parkway.
