Shadow Mountain Church welcomes new Pastor Daniel Flynn and his wife Lisa.
New Shadow Mountain Church Senior Pastor Daniel Flynn will deliver his first sermon on Sunday.
The church is located at 1311 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.
Identical services are held at 9 a.m. and 10:40 a.m., with children’s Sunday School at 10:40 a.m.
Flynn comes from North Carolina where he recently served as the CEO of a pregnancy resource center. After a two-year break from the pulpit, he said he is energized and excited about returning to pastoral ministry.
Flynn earned a bachelor’s degree in religious education from University of the Cumberlands, a master’s degree in theological studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in theology from Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary.
He has served as pastor of several Southern Baptist churches in Ohio and North Carolina, and has been on numerous short-term mission trips on three continents.
He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 33 years and have two adult children, Samuel and Julia, and five grandchildren.
