Krysta Palmer returns to World Aquatics Championships

Olympic bronze medalist and Douglas High alumna Krysta Palmer is headed back to international competition, where she will be competing in the 2024 World Aquatics Championships.

Last year at the same event, Palmer took fifth in the mixed 3-meter and 10-meter team events while finishing eighth in the mixed 3-meter synchro.

After graduating from Douglas, Palmer starred for the Nevada swimming & diving team.

Bailey Heydra, another Wolf Pack diver, will represent her home country of South Africa at the Championships.

Heydra placed 17th in the 3-meter synchro in 2023.

Nevada head diving coach Jian Li You will represent the U.S. as a coach.

The event will run from Feb. 2-18 in Doha, Qatar.
