Genoa, Nev. — Single lane closures will take place on sections of Highway 395 from the Nevada-California state line to Ray May Way 6a.m.-8p.m. today as the state conducts test paving.


The Just a Drop In Farmers Market opens for the season in Heritage Park 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. ABE Printing is hosting a free shred day 2-4:30 p.m. today at 1679 Highway 395 in Minden.


Planning commissioners approved the second to the last phase of Clear Creek Tahoe located along Highway 50 above Alpine View on Tuesday.


They also upheld a denial of a minor variance that would allow a property owner to build a home with an essentially flat roof on Heavenly View Court west of the Gardnerville Ranchos.


Flags are at half-staff today in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day on order of Gov. Joe Lombardo.


Ebbetts Pass has been open for a week, now. Closed on Jan. 2, crews cleared drifts 12-16 feet deep off the road, according to the California Department of Transportation.


Today’s forecast calls for a high temperature of 81 degrees under sunny skies in Minden. Both Monday and Tuesday had reading of 83-84 degrees, so I bet it will be warmer. What breeze there is will be out of the north at 5 mph.
