There will be a hunter education class offered in Carson City on Saturday. Successful completion of a hunter education class is required in the State of Nevada for anyone born after Dec. 31, 1959 who intends to purchase a Nevada hunting license.
There is a $5 fee for this class.
All students must pre-register, obtain course materials and complete a workbook prior to attending the class.
The Carson City class will be taught by volunteer instructors certified by the Nevada Division of Wildlife NDOW).
It will be held at the Capitol City Gun Club, just off Arrowhead Drive near the Eagle Valley West Golf Course.
Some of the subjects to be covered include the safe handling of rifles, pistols and handguns, hunter ethics, conservation, first-aid and wilderness survival.
