Chinaman who entered Stampley's saloon was found guilty in Justice Cary's court yesterday and was bound over in the sum of $300. His countrymen say they will raise the money and let him leave the country. Such a sum in the county's exchequer is much more desirable than a Chinaman.

Peter Hubeck of Washoe Valley has been committed to the asylum at Reno. He is laboring under the delusion that he is haunted by birds, man and also beasts. Warmest town in Nevada seems to be Rioville, Lincoln County on the 19th, 105 and reaching 120. This is probably the hottest weather since Nevada was inhabited by white people.
70 YEARS AGO
Well equipped distillery at Virginia City was raided by George Brady, deputy prohibition administrator for Nevada. Two hundred gallons of corn whiskey, 1,000 gallons of mash and 150 dozen quart bottles of beer were confiscated along with a good still of large capacity.

There were absolutely 25 clear days during July and only .17 inches of precipitation. Total from September 1950 to July 31 was 18.65 inches. Highest temperature was July 22 at 96, lowest 37, July 4.

Carson City has received $45,000 as reimbursement for a bike path on Roop Street from Governor's Field to Fifth Street, from Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund.

People from all over come to attend the Antique Beer Can Collector's Swap Meet held each year in Dayton State Park. After the show, attend a tour of the Union Brewery in Virginia City.
