Richard "Dick" Loveday, 82, a Carson City resident for the past 11 years, died Aug. 19, 2001, at his home. A private service will be held.
Mr. Loveday was born May 23, 1919, in England to Albert James and Jean Robertson Kinnoch Loveday.
He was preceded in death by his sister Zena Hart, and brothers Jack Loveday, George Loveday and William Loveday.
Prior to living in Carson City he resided in California for 40 years.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Loveday spent six years in the British Navy during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife Mary E. of Carson City; sons Marshall of Orange, Calif., and Rick Harper of Simi, Calif.; daughters Patricia Harper of Oregon, Jean Ruecker of Simi, Jan Nash of Carson City and Andrea of Vallejo, Calif.; brothers Marshall of Auckland, New Zealand, Reg of Canbera, Australia; sister Jean Hall of Warminster, England, and 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
