A graveside service for Archie T. Paul, 82, a Silver Springs resident for the past 22 years is at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City.
Mr. Paul died Aug. 22, 2001 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1919 in Missouri to Avery Paul.
Prior to living in Silver Springs he resided in Watsonville, Calif.
He married Joann Densmore on May 19, 1969. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Paul worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a switchman, retiring after 30 years of service.
Mr. Paul served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a prisoner of war for four years on Wake Island.
Among his survivors are his wife Joann Paul of Silver Springs; son Dale Paul of Watsonville; daughters Diane Goulart of Capitola, Calif. and Brenda Marmo of Carson City; sisters Kay Biggs of Hemet, Calif., Rachel Clement of Hanford, Calif. and Opal Tinsley of Kansas City, Kan., seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
