A funeral for Guy C. "Chuck" Outland III, 38, a lifetime Carson City resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today and Friday at Waltons.
Mr. Outland died Aug. 26, 2001. He was born April 16, 1963, in Carson City to Guy C. Outland Jr. and Geraldine F. Martin.
He was raised in Carson City and graduated from Carson High School.
Mr. Outland worked in maintenance for Sun West in Reno. He was a motorcycle racer in his 20s and was ranked one of the top 500 in the country, racing at Sears Point, Laguna Seca and Willow Springs. He loved Nevada, his family and life.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Leroy E. Trimble April 19, 1994, and stepfather John A. Martin July 2, 1986.
Among his survivors are his daughter Faun C. Outland of Orchard Beach, Fla.; son Cody Williamson, of Great Lakes Naval Training Station; maternal grandmother Thelma Trimble of Carson City; paternal grandmother Frieda F. Outland of Modesto, Calif.; mother Geraldine Martin, of Carson City; brother Kyle Marcus, of Reno and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
