New Year's run scheduled

The 2001 New Year's for New York Resolution Run has been scheduled.

The event will be held at 9 p.m. Mnday, Dec. 31 at the Edmonds Sports Complex. Race day registration will begin at 8 p.m.

The two-mile run and walk will benefit the victims' families in New York. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers.

Every participant will receive a race bag filled with a long sleeve patriotic race shirt, prizes and coupons.

Entry fee if postmarked by Dec. 21 is $20 and $17 for members of the TMM/SBS/SSS running clubs. After Dec. 21, the cost is $25.

Checks should be made payable to Sagebrush Stompers and mailed along with registration forms to Sagebrush Stompers, 3807 South Carson Street, Carson City, 89701.

Racers will be able to pick up packets from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 31 at Fleet Feet Sports. For more information, call 775-883-3361.
