The 2000 trout fishing seasons will close on Nov. 15 at Blue Lakes, Catnip Reservoir and Onion Valley Reservoir. Those waters are all located in northern Humboldt County.
- Blue Lakes has a limit of five trout, only boats without motors are permitted and the area is closed to vehicular traffic. It will re-open on the second Saturday in June.
- Catnip Reservoir has a limit of zero fish, catch and release fishing only, with artificial flies or lures, with single barbless hooks. It will re-open on Sept. 1.
- Onion Valley Reservoir has a limit of five trout, Boats must be operated no faster than five nautical miles per hour. It will re-open on June 12.
