Carson High's Allison Kopp was named Defensive Player of the Year

Carson High's Allison Kopp was named Defensive Player of the Year on the All-Northern Nevada girls soccer team.


Joining Kopp in receiving top honors were Amy Jackson and Patricia Garrick of Galena High. Jackson was named the Offensive Player of the Year and Garrick was named as the Midfielder of the Year.


Also joining those players on the first team were Douglas High goalkeeper Ashley Sulprizio, Carson midfielder Erin Stieber and Galena forward Annie Baxter.


Named to the first team in boys soccer was Carson forward Aaron Satterwhite and Galena midfielder Mike Weiland. Named to the second team were forward A.J. Bergantz and goalie Sean Carter from Carson and Douglas forward Gieorag Andrews.
