The Carson Wolf Pack Midget Pop Warner football team ran into a tough Reno Bulldog team and came up short, 32-12.

The Wolf Pack held the ball for nearly 15 minutes in the first half, but found itself trailing 14-6 at halftime. The Bulldogs ran olny six offensive plays in the first half, scoring twice from more than 50 yards.

Kyle Bacon hit Jake Rasner on a 29-yard touchdown pass near the end of the first half to put the Wolf Pack on the board. Rasner made a spectacular catch in the end zone for the score.

The second half provided more of the same as the Bulldogs continually came up with the big play.

Bacon later connected with Brian Welch on a 17-yard pass for the Wolf Pack's final score.

Aaron Holmes led Carson with 153 yards on 28 carries while Micah Whitcome added 31 yards on seven carries and Austin Watson had 27 yards on four carries and 72 yards on kickoff returns.

On defense, Whitcome strippled the ball for one Bulldog turnover and Mario Quevedo stopped another drive with an interception. Jesse Rasner, Welch, Whitcome and Caleb Simon led the Wolf Pack's defense.

Smooth Allen and Watson played well on special teams. With the loss, Carson fell to 1-1. The Wolf Pack will play at 8 p.m. Friday against Reno in Carson.

Sam Osheroff rushed for 32 first half yards. Stephen Sawyers and Mike Gonzales led a superb defensive effort for the Senators.

Kelly Manning, Daniel Jacobsen and Gwaltney each recovered Jaguar fumbles, but penalties prevented the Senators from capitalizing.
