Dayton man promoted to master sergeant in Army National Guard

A Dayton man was promoted to master sergeant in the Nevada Army National Guard.

Brig. Gen. Robert Hayes, commander of Army Guard for Nevada, promoted Robert L. Bryan during ceremonies held at the Carson Armory. Assisting Hayes in pinning on the new rank was Bryan's wife Patricia. His two daughters Michelle and Heather also attended the ceremony.

Bryan, a member of the Nevada Army Guard for 11 years, is a full-time commodity manager for the United States Property and Fiscal Office in Carson City. His total military time encompasses 17 years.

In the certificate of promotion, Bryan is charged "to execute diligently his special skills with a high degree of technical proficiency and to maintain standards of performance, moral courage and dedication to the Army."
