The Gold Hill Hotel Tuesday Night Lecture Series continues through August.

Tuesday - Harry B. Swanson - "Nevada, an Evil State - We Grant Quickie Divorces and We Gamble Too." Mr. Swanson is a retired local attorney and has been on PBS talking on this subject.

Aug. 22 - Cameron Crain - "Shakespeare and Piper's Opera House, a Retrospective Prospective." Mr. Crain is involved in Virginia City

Theater.

Aug. 29 - Alexander Muntean-Musser - "The Shadow Road - Women's Choices Leading to Prostitution on the Comstock."

September 5 - Labor Day Holiday - No Lecture

Thelecture is $4, lecture and dinner ranges from $8 to $15.50.

On Aug. 25, The Gold Hill Hotel's Crown Point Restaurant is presenting an International Gourmet Beer Dinner. It will feature seven courses based on the cuisine of a different country including a carefully selected beer from that country.

The gourmet beer dinner begins at 7 p.m. Price is $55 per person, $100 per couple. Hosted by Nick Fain and Smitty, food prepared by Chef Daniel Quint, a small sample of the evening will include:

England: Stilton and Cheshire Cheese Croustades with Samuel Smith Nut Browm Ale.

India: Tandoor Beef Brochettes with Taj Mahal Lager.

Germany, Brazil, and America will also be represented this evening.
