Joy Green recently joined the local office of the financial services firm Edward Jones as a branch office administrator. Green has lived in Carson City for five years.

The title of branch office administrator was adopted for this position at Edward Jones because of the wide range of responsibilities associated with the job.

"She is not only responsible for the daily operation of the branch, but also must provide top-level client service and marketing support for my activities," said Carol Perry, local investment representative for the firm.

Green must successfully complete the firm's in-depth training program within six months in order to graduate from the trainee designation.

Green is a native of Gardnerville. She joined Edward Jones after working as a legal secretary at the Nevada Attorney General's Office in Carson City.

The largest firm in the nation in terms of branch offices, Edward Jones currently has more than 6,500 offices in the U.S. and through its affiliates, in Canada and the United Kingdom. Plans call for expansion to 10,000 offices by 2003.
