MINDEN - The victim of a Tuesday-night shooting was identified Wednesday as 22-year-old Lorenzo Ramirez.
Ramirez, an unemployed Lyon County resident, was in stable condition Wednesday at Washoe Medical Center where he continued to improve from a wound to his abdomen. Investigators believe he was shot with small-caliber gun.
Since the shooting, believed to have taken place at approximately 7 p.m. in front of the Douglas County Public Library near County Road, little information has come out about the case.
"Investigators have not learned the entire sequence of events due to the fact that the victim will not cooperate," Sgt. Lance Modispacher said. There are no suspects in the shooting.
Ramirez was discovered by library employees, who called emergency crews. He was taken by CareFlight helicopter to Reno.
