Cycle riders celebrating the second anniversary of Carson-Tahoe Harley Davidson also helped support a couple of local charities Saturday.

The Salvation Army organized and received the proceeds from its second annual poker run as part of the anniversary events.

And City of Refuge, a residence for pregnant women in Gardnerville, was the beneficiary of an auction of Harley-Davidson merchandise including biker Ken and Barbie dolls.

The poker run, with 115 entries, ran around Lake Tahoe, up Geiger Grade to Virginia City, then back to the dealership's lot on North Carson Street.

The Salvation Army also conducted a raffle to raise funds and awarded plaques to a number of poker run participants.

During the day, the dealership offered entertainment including live music, a Harley-Davidson video game competition, exhibits of merchandise, auctions and door prizes.

The anniversary celebration wrapped up with an adult "naughty and nice" fashion show.
