A number of different Nevada big game hunting seasons will be either opening or closing between now and the end of the year.
They include:
-- Saturday - Opening day of the archery buck mule deer season in big game management area No. 081.
-- Sunday - Closing day of the rifle antlerless mule deer hunting season for the big game management areas in the western portion of the state.
-- Monday - Opening day of the muzzleloader buck mule deer hunting season for big game management area Nos. 201, 202, 204-206. This season closes on Dec. 10.
-- Dec. 9 - Opening day of the desert bighorn sheep (any ram) hunting season for big game management area Nos. 281 and 282. This season closes on Dec. 31.
-- Dec. 10 - Closing day of the desert bighorn sheep (any ram) hunting season for all open big game management areas except Nos. 281 and 282.
-- Dec. 10 - Closing day of the muzzleloader buck mule deer hunting season for big game management area Nos. 201, 202, 204-206.
-- Dec. 11 - Opening day of the archery buck mule deer season in big game management area Nos. 201, 202, 204-206.
-- Dec. 17 - Closing day of the archery buck mule deer season in big game management area No. 081.
-- Dec. 31 - Closing day of the desert bighorn sheep (any ram) hunting season for big game management area Nos. 281 and 282.
-- Dec. 31 - Closing day of the archery buck mule deer season in big game management area Nos. 201, 202, 204-206.
Note: Only those hunters who were successful in drawing tags through the Nevada computerized drawing system are eligible to hunt.
