Letter: Attendance important part of mayor's job

There has been much discussion about whether our mayor should be available part or full time ... and whether that has anything to do with the

actual duties of the office. Being a member of the Carson City Area Chamber of Commerce, I have to tell you that I have seen our mayor at numerous activities. I've personally found him to be very reachable and willing to discuss anything ... in other words ... available.

One point I think that has been tossed away and warrants further investigation, is simply the attendance records of both Mr. Tatro and Mr.

Masayko. These records are part of the minutes taken at each Supervisors meeting. These minutes may be seen on a computer located in the County Recorders Office. You simply go there and type in the public code and all minutes are filed by the following: B - year - month - day.

I think the records will show that, in spite of what Mr. Tatro has stated, he has a full time position and was either late or did not show up at all for numerous supervisors meetings. I ask you, if he cannot make it to supervisor meetings, what in the world makes anyone think he will be there as Mayor?
