Letter: Black Rock bill is good for Nevada

The bill to protect the Black Rock Desert is a good compromise, as you wrote in your Oct. 12 editorial "Time to support Black Rock bill."

The measure won the approval of the Senate by unanimous consent - a true testament to the work of Senators Bryan and Reid to reach this balanced approach to protection while allowing multiple uses to continue.

Existing roads and facilities (such as Soldier Meadows) will not be affected. This is a good bill for Nevada and the US; and Congressman Gibbons and House members should support and pass the bill without delay.
