SAVANNAH, Ga. - A 19-year-old man has been convicted of killing two youths and wounding another in a March 10 shooting outside a high school dance.

Darrell Ingram was accused of opening fire with a semiautomatic weapon outside the dance celebrating the state championship won by the Beach High School girls' basketball team. Ramone Kimble, a 16-year-old Savannah High School student, and Stacy Smalls, 19, who was not a student, were killed. A third teen-ager was wounded.

Witnesses said Ingram, a high school dropout, fired at least six shots. Ingram's lawyer said another man shot the students and Ingram fired shots into the air.

Ingram was convicted Wednesday of four counts of felony murder, three counts of illegal possession of a firearm and one count of aggravated assault. He could face life plus 35 years in prison at sentencing next week.
