Meth preliminaries canceled, rescheduled

All 14 of the Carson City residents busted in a Dec. 6 methamphetamine raid appeared in Carson City Justice Court on Wednesday. The District Attorney's office canceled the preliminaries and rescheduled for a later date.

- Russell Robinson, Marvin Higday, Larry Powers, Patrick Sandersen and Teddy Peterson's preliminary hearing was rescheduled for March 8 at 8:30 a.m.

- Shawahali Abdulwahabzada's preliminary hearing was rescheduled for Feb. 22 at 1 p.m.

- Kimberly Rigdon, Cathy Wurster, Kyle Higday, Bruce Peart and Robert Beattie's preliminary was rescheduled for March 2.

- Christina Moriarty and Brian Mitchell's preliminary was rescheduled for Feb. 23 at 9:30 a.m.

- Erica Crandall's preliminary for Feb. 8 at 1:30 p.m.

The three remaining defendants in jail had their bails reduced or were released. Marvin Higday and Russel Robinson were released on their own recognizance. Kyle Higday's bail was reduced to $1,000; however, he has a hold on him for a probation violation out of Mineral County.
