St. Teresa School has its first marquee sign and Carson High School upgraded to a digital one this year.
The marquee at St. Teresa School was donated by J.R. Seals Landscaping.
The 18-foot sign at Carson High School was funded by Greater Nevada Credit Union, which runs an educational branch inside the school.
"We have strong ties to Carson High School," said Wally Murray, the president and CEO of the credit union. "The educational branch lets us offer an additional location to our members and gives students a chance to gain valuable work experience."
The new marquee replaced the traditional sign and is controlled by a computer from inside the school instead of manually posting the letters outside.
"We're pleased that we could provide a state-of-the-art marquee to help the school promote its events and activities," Murray said.
