Alice May Brown, 80, a Reno resident for the past year and Carson City resident for the previous 48 years, died Aug. 21, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno. She was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Watertown, N.Y., to Clinton and Ethel Holland Bishop.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Fresno, Calif.
Mrs. Brown was a registered nurse at Carson-Tahoe Hospital for 25 years. She loved to volunteer at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carson City.
Among her survivors are son, Dale of Los Angeles; sons-in-law Bill Young of Reno, Mac Harris of Queens, NY and John Kaltenbach of Los Angeles; daughters Terri Harris of Queens and Pamela Young of Reno; Bubba, her best friend and two grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held Sept. 1 on Slide Mountain.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
