Obituary: Brad Philip Johnson

A funeral for Brad Philip Johnson, 46, a Gardnerville resident for the past six years, will be at 4 p.m. today at Valley Christian Fellowship Church.

Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. today at Valley Christian Fellowship, 974 Tillman Lane in Gardnerville Ranchos.

Mr. Johnson died Aug. 24, 2000 at his home. He was born June 10, 1954, in San Gabriel, Calif., to David Winn and Lois Jean Pinkston Johnson.

He married Cathy Haley on July 1, 1978.

Before moving to Gardnerville, he was a longtime Santa Cruz, Calif., resident.

Mr. Johnson was a building contractor and real estate developer. He took pride in his creative abilities and was a successful real estate developer. He was an avid Giants fan who also loved to hunt and fish.

Among his survivors are his wife Cathy, son Brian, daughter Brooke, parents Dave and Lois Johnson, paternal grandmother Iris Pinkston; brothers Greg and Kirk and sister Janet Gookin, all of Gardnerville.

Burial will be at the Genoa Cemetery.
