Obituary: Donald G. Mirk

A graveside service for Donald G. Mirk, 79, a Minden resident for the past seven years, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Mr. Mirk died Nov. 14, 2000 at his home. He was born May 30, 1921, in Oakland, Calif., to George and Jeanne Poole Mirk.

Before moving to Minden, he lived in Irvine, Calif.

Mr. Mark was a communications consultant for General Telephone. He was a member of the Masonic Covina Lodge and he served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

Among his survivors are his wife Alta, son Richard and daughter Janice LaPorte, all of Minden; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
