A funeral for Donald Owen Campbell, 74, a Gardnerville resident for the past 10 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Campbell died Nov. 19, 2000 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born May 15, 1926, in Boone, Iowa, to Guy Owen and Margie Alice Cotton Campbell.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived at Lake Tahoe.
Mr. Campbell was transportation manager for US Global Freight and a member of the Elks Lodge in Bishop.
He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
Among his survivors are his son Kevin of Walnut Creek, Calif.; daughter Kelly Jordan of Reno; brother Duane of Redding, Calif. and two grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Genoa Cemetery in Genoa.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
