A memorial for Earl Wayne Naves, 81, a Wellington resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Topaz Ranch Estates in Wellington.
Mr. Naves died Dec. 23, 2000, at his residence. He was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Paris, Texas, to Grover C. Nave and Deeljie Miller.
He married Grace Ward Feb. 13, 1949, in Las Vegas.
He was a retired carpenter.
Mr. Naves served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife Grace of Wellington; daughter Earlene Burley of Crescent City, Calif.; sons Wayne of Camarillo, Calif., and Alan Pate of Henderson; sisters Trilbia Dodson of Lake Isabella, Calif., and Lillie Cox of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brothers Grover Jerry and Ken, both of Oklahoma City, and five grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.
Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
