Obituary: Frank Vernon Roza

Visitation is 2 -4 p.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley for Frank Vernon Roza, 88, a 33-year resident of Carson City. He died Aug. 9 at Washoe Medical Center.

Born Jan. 4, 1912 in San Louis Obispo, Calif. to Joe and Anna Silvera Roza, he was a retired dairyman and storekeeper.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Roza moved to Carson City in 1967 coming from Galt, Calif. He was a Catholic.

Mr. Roza is survived by his wife, Ruth of Carson City; a son, Frank Jr. of Pahoa, Hawaii; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Faber of Bremerton, Wash.; a brother, Art of Atascadra; a sister, Hilda Martin of Sacramento; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The rosary will be said 1 p.m. Monday at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Carson City. Funeral Mass follows at the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial is in Walton's Carson Gardens. Contributions may be made in Mr. Roza's honor to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 21775, Carson City, NV 89721.
