Obituary: Gerald Forrest Huffine

A Mass of the Resurrection for Gerald Forrest Huffine, 63, a Gardnerville resident for the past seven years, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville with Father Bill Nadeau celebrant.

Mr. Huffine died Sept. 14, 2000 at his home. He was born Sept. 15, 1936, in Wilmar, Calif., to Forrest G. and Bernadette Clough Huffine.

He married Gloria Espinosa Sept. 21, 1957, at the Chapel of Roses in Pasadena, Calif.

Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Hacienda Heights, Calif.

Mr. Huffine was a machinist and for the Department of Water and Power and later a machinist supervisor for Los Angeles County. He was a member of Carson Valley Sertoma and St. Gall Catholic Church.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-65.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Among his survivors are his wife Gloria of Gardnerville; son Gerald A. of Duarte, Calif.; brother, Randy of Rosemeade, Calif.; sister Betty Robles of Guadalupe, Calif. and grandson Zachary F. of Gardnerville.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
