A graveside service for James Clarence Bell, 88, a Silver Springs resident, will be at 2 p.m. today at Desert Memorial Gardens in Silver Springs.
Mr. Bell died July 31, 2000 at his home. He was born April 3, 1912, in Bently, Ark., to Frank F. and Alice Rhoden Bell.
Mr. Bell worked as a warehouseman and switchman for the railroad for many years, retiring and moving to Silver Springs 31 years ago.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joe Berry.
Among his survivors are his wife Mary K. Hill Bell of Carson City; sons, Tom Berry of Rainier, Wash. Gary Bell of Washoe Valley and Tim Bell of Mt. Yukum, Calif.; daughters Alice Bell of Roseville, Calif. and Barbara Shafery of Yelm, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, Yerington, is in charge of arrangements.
