A memorial service for Jay William Keller, 87, a Carson City resident for the past 36 years, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mr. Keller died Oct. 29, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 17, 1913, in Benton, Calif., to Fred and Anna Drummon Keller.
He married Rosemary Hall in St. Louis, Mo. Nov. 23, 1944.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Idaho.
Mr. Keller retired from Southwest Gas Corp. after 10 years. He had a long affiliation with The 52nd Search Light Battalion organization.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a radar technician.
Among his survivors are his wife Rosemary of Carson City; sons Jay W. Jr. and Charles F., both of Carson City and Russell of Hebron, Ky.; daughter Kathleen Devenport of Carson City; brothers Vern of Reno and Leo Mattley of Bakersfield, Calif.; sister Ann Herrin of Yerington; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
