John Lee (Jack) Kennedy, a Henderson resident, died June 15, 1938. He was born June 15, 1928, in Quincy, Calif., to John and Mildred Strong Kennedy.
Before moving to Henderson, he lived in Carson City for 18 years.
He graduated from Quincy High School in 1957 as class president. He was an accomplished athlete and premiere quarterback in high school.
He had been a member of the National Guard. His sons were all graduates of Carson High School.
Among his survivors are his sons and wives: John, Kim, Micah, Leslie and Marty, all of Reno; grandchildren Erin, Logan, Jordan and Olivia Kennedy; brother Carroll Wilson of Sparks, brother and wife Bob and Sandy of Fresno, Calif., brother Dave of Fremont, brother and wife Dick and Starra of Quincy; sister Sara Jane Kast of Roseville; three nieces, nine nephews; 20 great nephews and nieces and friend Mary Iriart of Clovis, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at the Meadow Valley School in Henderson at 2 p.m. Sept. 16 .
