Marion Louise Murguia, 58, died Nov. 17, 2000 at her Carson City home.
She was born July 5, 1942, in Charlestown, Ind., to Eugene and Nellie Hyatt Brown. She married Richard Murguia in Arizona on May 2, 1958, and was a Navy wife for 22 years.
Mrs. Murguia earned her master's degree in psychology from Antioch University and was a family therapist. She was a volunteer for the Cancer City Cancer Resource Center and had also volunteered with the Domestic Violence Intervention Group in Ventura, Calif. She moved to Carson City three years ago from Santa Paula, Calif.
Survivors include her husband of Carson City; sons Richard J. of Bremerton, Wash., and Eugene of Carson City; daughter Terrie Larson of Sturgis, S.D.; brothers John Brown and Russell Brown of Arizona, George Brown of Boise, Idaho, and Ed Brown of LaGrand, Ore.; three grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, with burial following. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
