Mildred Dorothy Girdler, 67, a Carson City resident for the past three months, died Aug. 8, 2000 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1932, in San Francisco, to Richard and Julie Gombos Stratfull.
She married Donald Girdler in San Francisco March 25, 1950.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Willits, Calif.
Mrs. Girdler was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, hooking rugs and collecting bells and wind chimes. She was a volunteer at the Willits Senior Citizens Center and a member of the Howard Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Willits.
Among her survivors are her husband Donald of Carson City; sons Thomas of Petaluma, Calif. and Donald II of Fernley; daughter Sue Maxwell of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
No public service is scheduled.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
