Obituary: Patricia "Trish" Soracco

A memorial service for Patricia "Trish" Soracco, 49, a Gold Hill resident for the past 10 years, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Holy Name Church in San Francisco.

Another memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's in the Mountains Church in Virginia City with a reception following at the Virginia City Senior Center.

Mrs. Soracco died Dec. 1, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Dec. 11, 1950, in San Francisco, to Edward and Mary O'Hare Callan.

Before moving to Gold Hill, she lived in San Jose, Calif.

Mrs. Soracco was a bus driver for the Storey County School District. She was president of the Nevada Classified School Employees and a Catholic. She enjoyed knitting, being a wife and mother and her job.

Among her survivors are her husband David, son Christopher and daughter Sandra, all of Gold Hill; brother William Callan of Half Moon Bay, Calif. and sisters Barbara Hopkins of San Jose, Calif. and Virginia Katz of Sonoma, Calif.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
