A memorial service for Rojer Lee Willis, 55, a Carson City resident for the past 14 years, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the family home, 2350 Silver Sage Circle, Carson City.
Mr. Willis died July 20, 2000, at his home. He was born June 16, 1945, in Oregon to George A. and Lura Sanders Willis.
He married Susan Prentice on Sept. 17, 1982, in Reno.
Before moving to Carson City he lived in Clearlake, Calif.
Mr. Willis was a police officer in Gabbs, Clearlake , Del Rey Oaks, Calif., and Boseman, Mont. He also worked as security training coordinator for Circus Circus in Reno.
He enjoyed golfing, car races and spending time with his wife, family and friends. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam war.
Among his survivors are his wife Susan of Carson City; daughter Jody Turner of Pacific Grove, Calif., and brother David Knight of Carson City.
Inurnment will be in Pacific Grove.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
