William Alexander Martin, 83, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, died Nov. 10, 2000, at Carson Convalescent Center. He was born Dec. 7, 1916, in Boston, Mass., to William P. and Nellie Poore Martin.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Las Vegas, moving from Massachusetts.
He married Martha George on Nov. 11, 1956, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Mr. Martin was a mental health technician with the state of Nevada. He enjoyed visiting with friends at the Carson Nugget and traveling abroad in his RV.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater and with the Criminal Investigation Department.
Among his survivors are his wife Martha of Carson City; beloved caretaker Nellie and sister Marjorie Knopf of Boston.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
