Highway 89 will be closed to northbound traffic from Spring Creek (just north of Camp Richardson) to Tahoe City from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday for the Lake Tahoe Marathon.
Highway 89 is open to southbound traffic traveling from Tahoe City to South Lake Tahoe, but motorists are subject to 45-minute delays for races starting at Commons Beach in Tahoe City, Glen Street in Rubicon and Inspiration Point at Emerald Bay. Northbound traffic from Tahoma to Tahoe City will resume without delays approximately 10 a.m.
