The sounds of harps and bells will ring out 4 p.m. today at the 17th annual Holiday Treat concert at the Carson City Community Center.
This year, the Carson City Symphony and the Carson Chamber Singers will be joined by the Red Hot "Bell" Peppers (handbell choir) and the Hummingbirds and StringDivas (harp ensembles).
Conductor and Music Director David Bugli will open the concert with "A Chanukah Overture" by Robert Wendel and Dana Friedman, followed by "A Western Christmas" by Larry Mumford.
The Carson Chamber Singers, now in its 16th season, will be featured in a cappella arrangements of seasonal music.
This concert is funded, in part, by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Tickets are $12 ($10 for Carson City Symphony Association members, seniors and students), and free for children age 16 and under.
