The Unity Church of Today will hold its annual Women's Retreat July 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event, "Embracing Change," will be held at the home of Bev Smith in Genoa.

The retreat will be facilitated by the Rev. Julie Johnson, who will use a simple parable titled "Who Moved My Cheese?" for women to learn to embrace change and allow it to help them to expand, to become more productive.

Cheese is a metaphor for what one wants to have in life: a good job, loving relationship, more money, harmony, health or peace of mind.

Johnson is an ordained Unity minister, Reiki master and a clinical/counseling psychologist and has a varied background.

She is the senior minister of the Unity Church of Today in Genoa. She believes that the more love the more power and uses Reiki and psychology in her counseling practice. Her loving, healing presence has helped people of all ages to find spiritual, physical and emotional healing, reports say.

Those attending are asked to bring their favorite dish to share and wear casual clothes. Cost of the retreat is $40 per person. Details, call 782-4429.
