Jake Rasner caught a fourth-and-goal pass for a touchdown in overtime that gave the Carson Wolfpack a 12-6 victory against the Reno Colts Friday night at Governor's Field.

The touchdown culminated a drive that was lined with clutch plays as the Wolfpack improved its season record to 2-1.

Faced with a fourth-and-10 situation from their own 35, the Wolfpack moved the chains when Bacon completed an 11-yard pass to Aaron Holmes. Two plays later, Bacon and Holmes hooked up again for a 35-yard pass play to give the Wolfpack first-and-goal at the 10. The Colts held on three consecutive plays, setting up the game-winning touchdown play with 2:00 remaining to play.

Holmes, who rushed for 133 yards on 19 carries during the game, scored on an 81-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to tie the score at 6-6.

Bacon passed for 145 yards on the night. Holmes had five receptions for 59 yards. Micah Whitcome rushed for 42 yards on eight carries and Brian Welch had a 44-yard run to go with five pass receptions.

Kenny Binder, Shane Maddox, Corde Armstrong, Pete Morris and Jason Dittenber led the offensive line charge for the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack's defense turned in a solid performance. The Colts scored on their first possession after recovering a fumble inside Carson's 20. Zach Tersteege, Caleb Condor, Corey Winne, Dallas Miller and Whitcome were part of a defensive line that helped contain the Colts the rest of the way.

Luke Cunningham and Mike Teixeira recovered fumbles for the Wolfpack. Mario Quevedo, Smooth Allen and Holmes had interceptions.

The Wolfpack also got contributions from the special teams, as Austin Watson produced a good punt return and Bacon delivered two quick kicks from the team's spread formation.

The Wolfpack hosts the Reno Mustangs in an 8 p.m. contest this Friday.
