He married June Ferguson in 1938.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a civil engineer for Anaconda Copper Company and then Parsons-Jurden Engineering Construction Corp., in Pasadena, Calif., working in Iran and in various sites in the United States. He retired in 1982.
Among his survivors are his wife, June; daughter, Janis Hansen, of Portland; sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Glover and Robyn Dunn, both of Carson City; brother, Gordon of San Francisco and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Beaverton.
