Has anyone noticed that AT&T has been conducting an advertising blitz promoting their digital cable? This comes on the heels of the announcement on April 28 that there will be a price increase effective on June 1 and, at the same time, six channels in the expanded basic package are being moved to their digital line-up.
Why the six channels that we have been receiving for years have to be digital is beyond my comprehension. Satellite companies are not permitted to provide local channel service! Consequently, AT&T is the only one source available for local and cable channels. This is a prime example of how a corporation with a monopoly can exploit the consumer. Does anyone care?
