Brian Buscay ran to first-place overall in the annual Carson City Turkey Trot 10-K held on Saturday morning in Carson City.
Buscay, 27, broke away from a duel with Phillip Nichols over the final three miles to win the road race in a time of 32 minutes, 47 seconds. Nichols, 40, from Victoria, B.C., finished second in 34:43. Ron Cross was third in 36:14, one second ahead of Dave Carlsen.
Janet Griswold, 48, was the first woman to finish in 44:30.
Chris Badolato won the two-mile run in a time of 10:47. The first woman across the finish was Carrie Rheault in 15:42.
The event, which started and finished at Straw Hat Pizza, attracted a total of 67 participants.
