Residents looking for an opportunity to serve Carson City now have an opportunity to fill openings on two city committees.
- There are three openings on the Carson City Convention and Visitor's Bureau Board, which oversees tourism matters within Carson City. The five-member board meets the second Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Open positions are for a member of the hotel/motel industry, a business owner and a citizen at large.
- Two people who are either sportsmen or in ranching or farming in Carson City are being sought for a position on the Wildlife Advisory Board. Members volunteer about six hours a month to helping manage Carson's wildlife interests. Terms on the five-person board are staggered with two members serving for two years and three members serving for three years.
The opportunity to apply for either board ends June 9.
